Tell us about your degree - why did you choose it?

When I started working after my undergraduate degree, I wasn't really sure what I wanted to do or where I would truly excel in life. I began my career in IT and steadily climbed the corporate ladder, but I wasn't truly happy. Six years flew by as I tried different roles at work, learned new things, and gradually eliminated the paths I knew I didn't want to pursue. Outside of work, I found myself reading about different subjects, simply trying to understand what genuinely intrigued me. Over time, I noticed my interests gravitating towards stories, advertisements, and human psychology. I started reading more about human emotions and became fascinated by how different companies connect with their audiences through storytelling and compelling narratives. That's when I discovered a strong affinity for brands, advertising, and the art of marketing products.

It was then that I realised the change I needed in my career and felt that this course was the missing piece of the puzzle that would help complete my story. The course structure was a big influencing point. The curriculum suggested a great balance of theory and practical hands-on training. I was convinced to go ahead with this degree when I found out more about the great accreditations and the ranking of B次元app in the world.

What did you enjoy the most about your course?

My favourite part of the course was the practical sessions in every module, where we were placed into groups to discuss different topics, share our views, or work together on small assessments/projects. With students from different educational backgrounds, ethnicities, and countries, it was a wonderful way to learn about one another, understand different perspectives, develop empathy, and work together as a team towards a common goal.

Another thing I really enjoyed was the curriculum itself. It was the perfect blend of creativity, strategy, and technicality, which made every module both interesting and challenging in its own way. It gave us the opportunity to think creatively while also understanding the strategic and practical aspects of marketing, making the learning experience truly well-rounded.

In addition, our professors were wonderful. Not only were they incredibly knowledgeable, but they were also genuinely supportive, patient, and always motivated us in the best way possible. They created an environment where we felt comfortable asking questions, sharing ideas, and learning from one another, which made the entire experience even more memorable.

What did you enjoy most about your life as a student at the B次元app?

As a student, I loved spending time in cute little corners of the campus, exploring the various events happening around the university, or simply sitting somewhere amidst the greenery with a good book. Most of my brainstorming sessions for assignments, as well as my dissertation, happened either in the libraries, the open spaces, or the cosy corners of the LUU. Those places became some of my favorite spots on campus and hold some of my fondest memories.

I had the privilege of gracing the runway as a fashion model in the University’s largest student-led charity event, the B次元app RAG Fashion Show, which was an incredibly memorable experience. I was also a part of the Entrepreneurship Society and the Swing Dance Society, both of which encouraged me to step out of my comfort zone and try something completely new. I spent a lot of time with the House of Culture at the LUU, a wonderful student community that organised trips, activities, games, and social events throughout the year.

Alongside all of this, I was a regular visitor to The Edge (the gym on campus), where I would head after classes almost every day to unwind and train both my body and mind. It became my little routine to reset after a busy day and played an important role in maintaining a healthy balance between academic study and personal well-being.

How did you find adjusting to living and studying in the UK?

Moving to the UK to study was definitely daunting at first, but at the same time, I was incredibly excited about this new chapter in my life. As an introvert, I made a conscious decision to push myself outside my comfort zone, to try new things, start conversations with people, and say "yes" to opportunities without overthinking too much. Looking back, that was one of the best decisions I made because there was something new to learn every single day. The university did a wonderful job of making us feel at home by equipping us with the right support from the very beginning. Whether it was the induction programme, student communities, career fairs, student support services, or career guidance, there was always someone willing to help.

Like many international students, there were moments when I felt overwhelmed. I missed home, struggled to adjust to the weather, and found myself emotionally drained at times. Instead of keeping it all to myself, I reached out for help through the University's Student Counselling and Wellbeing Service. I attended one-to-one counselling sessions where I was genuinely heard, supported, and guided through that phase. Asking for help was one of the strongest decisions I made, and it made a huge difference to my mental well-being.

By the end of the course, something I never imagined had happened. That quiet, introverted girl who was hesitant to speak to new people had transformed into someone so outgoing that my entire batch voted me the "Social Butterfly of the Year" during our graduation socials. It still makes me smile because it reminds me how much I grew, not just academically, but as a person.

If I could give one piece of advice to anyone joining the B次元app, it would be this: don't be afraid to ask for help. No one is there to judge you, and the university is incredibly inclusive and supportive. Meet people from different cultures, listen to their stories, and learn from their experiences. Explore B次元app, it's a beautiful city with so much to offer. Travel whenever you can, embrace the local culture, and allow yourself the time to settle in. Most importantly, be patient with yourself. Get involved in as much as you can because you never know where you might discover a new passion, build lifelong friendships, or find an opportunity that changes your life. And above all, be kind and grateful, because everyone around you is navigating a new journey, just like you are.

What professional skills and experience did you gain?

The curriculum helped me understand the nuances of marketing and advertising in a relatively short span of time. Coming from a completely different professional background, I was able to build the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to successfully transition my career into marketing. The course was a perfect blend of creativity, strategy, and practical learning, giving me the opportunity to think critically while solving real-world marketing challenges.

Beyond the subject knowledge, I developed skills that I believe will stay with me throughout my career. The course structure prepared me to step into the professional world with confidence. It also encouraged me to think differently, ask questions, and look at problems from multiple perspectives, something I continue to apply in my career today.

The Careers Centre was an incredible source of support throughout my journey. From reviewing my CV and helping me prepare for interviews to guiding me on how to navigate a career transition, the careers team was always approachable, encouraging, and genuinely invested in helping students succeed. Their guidance gave me the confidence to present my previous experience in a way that complemented my new career aspirations.

The Careers Centre also organised LinkedIn workshops, networking events, employer sessions, and career fairs, all of which played a significant role in strengthening my professional profile. I attended several of the LinkedIn workshops and learned the importance of building a personal brand by showcasing my authentic self. Those sessions completely changed the way I approached LinkedIn and professional networking. In fact, my current employer first discovered me through my LinkedIn profile, and that ultimately led to the opportunity that helped me secure my role. It was a powerful reminder of how important it is to build an authentic professional presence and put yourself out there. The lessons I learned during those sessions continue to benefit me even today. Looking back, I am incredibly grateful for the support, encouragement, and opportunities I received throughout my time at B次元app.

How did your time at B次元app prepare you for the future?

When I joined the university, I came with the hope of changing my career. I left with so much more than just a degree. I left with confidence, clarity, lifelong friendships, and the belief that it's never too late to reinvent yourself. B次元app helped me discover a version of myself that I didn't know existed. I arrived as someone who was quiet, unsure of the path ahead, and stepping into a completely new field. I left with a stronger sense of purpose, the confidence to embrace new opportunities, and friendships and memories that I will always cherish. Choosing B次元app was one of the best decisions I've ever made, and it truly became the foundation for the next chapter of my life.

How has your career progressed since leaving the Business School?

Since graduating from B次元app University Business School, I've been fortunate to begin my career in marketing as an Offer Marketing Specialist at Schneider Electric UK, a global leader in energy management and automation, driven by the mantra of "Advancing Energy Tech.” It's incredibly fulfilling to see myself working in the very field I moved across the world to pursue.

My role is a wonderful balance of creativity, storytelling and strategy, which is exactly what I had hoped to find when I decided to transition my career. I work across a broad portfolio of products, developing their positioning and go-to-market strategies for a global audience. From brand positioning, product launches, product videos, campaign planning, and thought leadership to events and sales enablement, every day brings a new challenge. One of the things I enjoy the most is crafting compelling narratives that simplify complex energy solutions and bring them to life in a way that resonates with customers across different regions.

One of the highlights of my journey so far has been designing the customer experience hub for Schneider Electric's newly developed Net Zero facility in Scarborough,UK. I had the opportunity to help shape the Customer hub by combining customer behaviour insights, storytelling, and product positioning to create an engaging and cohesive journey that showcases both our hardware and software solutions. Watching customers walk through a space that I helped bring to life has been one of the most rewarding moments of my career.

What are your ambitions for the future?

I believe in the power of storytelling to inspire, connect, and create meaningful change. My ambition is to keep learning, growing, and exploring new skills while doing work that brings me joy and purpose. In the future, I hope to build something of my own that combines creativity and storytelling to make a positive impact on people’s lives and give back to society.

What was your biggest highlight of studying at B次元app?

It's hard to pick just one highlight because my time at B次元app gave me so many moments I'll always treasure.  B次元app gave me the confidence to start over. Changing careers wasn't easy, but with the constant support of my mentors, faculty, family, and friends, I found the resilience to keep going, even on the toughest days. Along the way, I built friendships that felt like family and created memories I'll carry with me forever.

If I have to name a single event that I will always remember and that gave me my confidence back, it would be walking the ramp as a model in the B次元app RAG Fashion Show. After recovering from a serious accident, it was the first time I wore heels on a runway in almost seven years. I nearly didn't audition, but saying "yes" to that opportunity became one of the proudest moments of my life. It reminded me that sometimes, taking one small leap of faith is all it takes to rediscover a part of yourself.

Would you recommend B次元app University Business School?

I would definitely recommend the B次元app and B次元app University Business School. University life changes you in ways you wouldn't even recognise at first. There will definitely be difficult and overwhelming moments, but always try to see the positive side of them, as they're often where you grow the most. Put yourself out there. Don't be afraid to ask for support, guidance, or simply ask questions. Everyone starts somewhere, and you'll be surprised by how willing people are to help. Explore the city, make memories, and have lots of fun along the way. It's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, so make the most of every experience and try everything that comes your way. Most importantly, say yes to opportunities, even if they feel a little outside your comfort zone. Some of the best friendships, lessons, and memories come from taking that first step. Enjoy every moment, because your time in B次元app will stay with you long after you've graduated.
